This is a 1997 Fountain 31 Open powered by twin 2003 Mercury 225HP Four Stroke outboards with only 550 hours and includes a triple axle trailer! The 225 Mercury outboards were actually 100 percent built by Yamaha that year for Mercury. If you are looking for a boat that is VERY well taken care of, super clean, fast, classy and functional for fishing or otherwise, this is it!

OWNERS COMMENTS:
This is a very, very clean boat and has been kept indoors most of its life. In the fall of 2009 the original 250 EFI motors were removed and the the 4-stroke Yama/Mercs were installed (The black 225 Yamaha motors sold by Mercury). The boat is completely ready to go.
PERFORMANCE:
This is a solid 2 mpg boat and I have actually averaged 3 mpg at the end of the day before (seriously). Fuel economy/long range was the main reason I put the 4-strokes on and I spent a good bit of time and money to get the best prop fit for the greatest fuel economy. She runs 55 to 61 mph, depending on the props, the load, people, seas, etc.
